Welcome to Elvetham Heath Primary School, situated in the heart of the Elvetham Heath development in Fleet.

I have been Headteacher of Elvetham Heath Primary School since January 2014, having been head of another local school for almost 12 years. I am very excited about the next phase of the school’s journey, and the governors, staff and parents are very supportive and rightly proud of their school.

The school was built in 3 phases, opening in 2001 with just 49 pupils and continued to grow to a 3-form entry, with 628 pupils currently on roll. It is one of the largest primary schools in Hampshire, and has a very good reputation locally. Despite being over-subscribed, there are no plans for the school to expand any more.

Most of the children who attend the school come from the catchment area, where there is a mixture of owner-occupied, shared ownership and social housing. Approximately 13% of pupils are eligible for the pupil premium, placing us in the lowest 30% of schools nationally. The children behave very well and are encouraged to be kind and considerate towards others.

In addition to the 21 classrooms, there are two halls, a food technology room, music, drama and ICT rooms, and an all-weather astro pitch outside.

There is a strong staff team – approximately 100 people work at the school, and they are friendly and committed - determined to enable the children to do their best and experience many different opportunities throughout their time at school. We are passionate about making a difference to every child, and to allow them to discover their talents and to grow in confidence to enable them to be successful learners and members of society.

If you pay us a visit, I am sure you will be impressed. Although the school is large, it is very friendly and has a welcoming ethos. We look forward to meeting you soon.

The Fleet Pond Society has been working hard for the last couple of months to turn our wildlife  pond into a resource that we can be proud of and will enhance our childrens learning experiences.   The school pond had become a bit over grown. In Septermber the transfomation began with parents, staff and children taking a morning to gather wildlife and clear the vegetation.
