Helping in school
Parent helpers & visitors to school
We are always keen for parents to come and help out in school, for example, reading, general classroom work, cooking, etc. No previous experience is needed, but an extra pair of hands comes in very useful!
Each term there will be an opportunity to advise the school of your intention to volunteer.
Please note that all volunteers in school are subject to a rigorous application procedure which includes :
- mandatory attendance at a safeguarding briefing led by the headteacher.
- DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance.
- Reference collection.
The next safeguarding briefing will take place in the Spring term.
Prior to signing a school volunteer contract, please ensure all induction documentation (including the K.C.S.I.E) have been read.
All visitors must sign in and out at the reception desk and visibly display the appropriate lanyard provided.
